What never leaves your browser
The inspection engine runs entirely on your device. Pasting text and pressing “Mark the tells” sends nothing to our servers. There is no analytics script on this site and no third-party tracking of any kind.
What we store if you create an account
Your email address, a hash of your password (we cannot read the password itself), and any reports you explicitly save. Saved report text is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Saving is always a deliberate act with a stated notice; it never happens automatically.
Catalogue-update emails
If you subscribe to catalogue updates we store your email address for that single purpose. Every email includes an unsubscribe route, and you can also request removal at the address below.
Draft persistence
The tool keeps your current draft in your own browser's session storage so an accidental refresh does not lose it. This stays on your device, is never transmitted, and clears when you press Clear or close the session.
Cookies
One session cookie, used only to keep you signed in. It is not used for tracking and expires when your session ends.
Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone. Saved reports are visible only to the account that saved them.
Retention and deletion
You can delete any saved report from within the tool at any time; deletion is immediate and permanent. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email privacy@tellmark.uk from your registered address and it will be actioned within 30 days, normally much sooner.
Legal basis and contact
Tellmark is operated from the United Kingdom and processes account data on the basis of contract (providing the service you signed up for) under UK GDPR. Questions about this policy go to the same address above. This policy was last updated on 11 July 2026 and any material change will be dated here.
Terms, briefly
The tool is provided as-is, without warranty. Tellmark reports observable patterns and makes no claim about who or what wrote any text; you are responsible for how you use its findings. Do not use the service to store unlawful content.
